Ruhl, William Thomas Age 61 of Woodbury, MN. Born Sept 21, 1946, passed away Dec 7, 2007. Preceded in death by his most beloved wife, Linda Lou; and his father, William J. Ruhl. Survived by his sons, Parrish (Telena), Price (Laura), Preston, David Goolsby (Ruth); daughters, Tracy Countryman (Tim), Kelly Stromberg (Mark); 15 cherished grandchildren; his mother, Bernadine P. Ruhl; sister, Barbara Sue Ruhl; brothers, Brian (Barbara Peitso), Bradley (Lynn), Brent (Christine); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many close friends. Bill retired from the State of Minnesota after a long and distinguished career as Assistant Director of Medical Services for the Disability Determination Services Dept. Bill was a true patriot who proudly served his country in Vietnam as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps., stationed in DaNang from 1966 to 1968. He never lost his belief in the US Constitution or his faith in his fellow man. Bill will be remembered for his abiding love & faith in God, family, and country. He always lived true to his commitment towards others less fortunate or in need. In fact, his last checks were written on Dec 6 to local charities as a Christmas gift and blessing. Bill possessed an absolute passion for reading, music, the arts and of course, Minnesota sports. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to American Diabetes Assoc., the Autism Society of America or Vietnam Veterans of America. Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday, Dec 12 at Augustana Lutheran Church, 1400 S. Robert St., West St. Paul with visitation 1 hour prior to service at church. Visitation also 6-8 PM Tues, Dec 11 at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Dr, Woodbury 651-738-9615. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. We salute our fallen soldier, everyone's hero - "Semper Fi"
