Wagner, Ruth Anne Age 78, of Edina, MN, died September 16, 2007 after a long struggle with pancreatic cancer. When diagnosed in February, Ruth's response was to embrace her family and friends, and continue to live life to its fullest. Born, Ruth Anne Wik on December 21, 1928 in Mason City, Iowa. Graduated Mason City High School. Attended Waldorf College and received an A.B. in Christian Education. Worked two years at ELC headquarters Board of Higher Education. Attended and graduated St. Olaf College with a B.A. in Christian Education. Worked as youth director and parish visitor at Finney Ridge Lutheran Church, Seattle. Moved back to Minneapolis and married Howard Wagner at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. With Howard, served Lutheran parishes at Kiester, Roseau, Hermantown, Stephen, and Moorhead, all in MN. Was a grade school teacher and served as manager of a senior citizen dining site in Moorhead. Loved the creative part of home- making; an accomplished seamstress, quilt maker, furniture restorer and weaver. Survived by four children - David, Duane, Cynthia, and Mark, and nine grandchildren, a brother - Robert, a sister - Esther, three nieces and four nephews. Memorial services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, October 5 at Normandale Lutheran Church, 6100 Normandale Road, Edina, MN.
