Cynthia Lynn 'Rose' Torfin

Torfin, Cynthia Lynn (Rose) age 68, passed away at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by family on September 20, 2015. Cynthia was born on March 17, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN to parents Richard Wells Rose and Dorothy Irene (Nelson) Rose. She attended Fridley High School prior to moving to Rockford where she graduated in 1965. She was united in marriage to Gary Torfin on November 1, 1966 in Kingsville, Texas. The couple had two children. She enjoyed family, friends, movies and travel when able. Cindy loved history, particularly as it pertained to her family tree research. Her family and friends will always remember her as a warm, caring, and loving person. Cindy is survived by her husband of 49 years Gary; brother Jeff; sister Pam (Jim) Lepinski; daughter Jennifer (Kelly) Simondet; son Michael (Lisa) Torfin; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Richard Rose. A celebration of life will take place October 4th, 2015 at 12:00 PM, at the Montrose Community Center with a luncheon to follow. All are invited to attend this celebration of Cindy's life. Private interment will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids for the care they provided to Cindy during her stay.
