Kosak, Arlene Rose (Wegenek) Age 78, of New Brighton MN. Arlene passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 13, 2015. Arlene was born March 10, 1937 in Cleveland, OH to Anthony & Helen Wegenek. Arlene was all about her family and found her calling in being a great "mom" to her 4 children, Michele (Kevin) Hofman, Raymond Kosak, Jr., Diane (Ron) Espinosa and Lisa (Carl) Hansen. Arlene is also survived by her three siblings, LaVern (David) Mullen, Arvid (Maria) Wegenek & Anne (Al) Fess. Arlene was a great mother, sister,grandmother, aunt, friend, neighbor and volunteer. She had the gift of gab and could talk to anybody. Arlene loved sports and could talk football, college or pro, with the best of them. She was a "regular" at her grandchildren's sporting events and was known to show up with her homemade cookies. She absolutely loved and claimed bragging rights to her 10 grandchildren, Amanda, Sarah & Nate Hofman; R.J & Paul Kosak, Kaena & Kapri Espinosa and Cameron, Patrick & Scott Hansen. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Arlene enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, and being a very active member of the Church of St. Charles Borromeo. She was a woman of great faith, who believed in the power of prayer. Arlene attended daily mass and was a committed member of the perpetual adoration program at St. Charles. Visitation Thursday, September 24th, 4-7pm and prayer vigil at 7pm: Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel, 2901 Johnson Street N.E. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Friday, September 25th at Church of St. Charles Borromeo with visitation at the church starting at 10 am.
