Carole Phyllis Breitman, age 83, peacefully passed on May 17th, 2024, 16 years to the day of her mother's passing. Carole radiated beauty and kindness, something people took notice of throughout her life. Carole was preceded in death by parents Samuel and Teresa Cohen and loving husband Leo Breitman. Survived by first husband Paul Modell; children Annette Rose (Modell) (Scott Strauss), Brian (Rona) Modell and Bill (Danielle) Modell. Blended family children Sheryl (Jim) Senkiw and Susan (Chad) Lindgren. Grandchildren Jadon Kodner (fiancé Marnie), Emily (Tony) Fabiano, Sam Modell, Alex Modell and Jake (Kaleigh) Modell. Blended family grandchildren Matthew Senkiw, Ryan and Calista Lindgren. Also survived by close cousins. Carole was born in Chicago and moved with her family to Minneapolis as a toddler. She was a straight A student except for math, something she would later joke about. Carole was an avid reader and found expression through art, especially portraiture and watercolor. She shared her talent painting invitations for friends' events, portraits of their family members and showcasing her artwork at art fairs and in offices. Carole was fond of fine dining, dark chocolate and wine. She was a gourmet cook and a terrific baker. Carole had a natural giving spirit, taking joy in helping others and embraced numerous volunteer ventures. She was a proud, loving mother and grandmother aka 'Grandma Green Eyes.' She was second to none at nurturing and both extended family and friends called her their mom. Carole moved to Arizona where she savored the scenic views adding inspiration to her art and tempting her family to come visit and enjoy it all with her. She loved being able to travel the world later in her life. Carole was so endearing with her admirable knack for welcoming everyone, often in surprising ways in unlikely places. She was a rare sweet sensitive soul and will be deeply missed. We thank each of Carole's family, friends and caregivers for bonding with her in so many wonderful ways.
