Fiebelkorn, Douglas James Age 77, of Minnetonka, died suddenly Saturday, May 18th, 2024. He was visiting his favorite place, the cabin on the Gunflint Trail near Grand Marais, MN, with his family. Born and raised in Norwood-Young America, he moved to Minnetonka with his loving wife, Diane, in 1972 and celebrated over 51 years of marriage. He retired from Christian Salveson in 2000 after 35 years of service. Doug was well-known as a good neighbor and friend to all. He was quick with a joke and would give you the shirt off his back. He loved nature, country music, bringing people together and keeping a spotless lawn and driveway. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence "Jim"; mother, Margaret "Mugs"; and brother, John Fiebelkorn. Survivors include his wife, Diane; son, James Ryan (Carol); daughter, Melissa Davis (Chris); grandchildren, James Fiebelkorn (12), Penelope Davis (10) and Harrison Davis (8); brother, Robert Fiebelkorn (Nancy) and devoted dog Dollie. A service will be held is his honor at Westwood Lutheran Church in St. Louis Park, MN on May 31. Visitation will begin at 10 AM, service at 11 AM, and luncheon to follow. Inurnment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Norwood Young America at a later date along with a celebration of life.
