Robert John Hanson

Hanson, Robert John age 58, of St. Anthony, MN passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024. Robert was born in Staples, MN on October 25, 1965 to Eleanor and Louis Hanson. Robert attended Mounds View Schools and graduated from Irondale High School in 1984 and earned a business degree from the Minnesota School of Business. Before his retirement, Robert worked for Hennepin County Social Services. Robert loved all animals, but especially his six cats. Robert also enjoyed travel and collecting coins. Robert is preceded in death by his father, Louis Hanson. Robert is survived by his mother, Eleanor Hanson, his siblings, Carol Hanson, Scott Hanson, and Mark (Carol) Hanson, his nieces Kate Schumacher, Kristin (Matt) Zelazny, his nephew, Zachary (Kimberly Hughes) Wefel, and his great-nephews, Jack Schumacher and Rowan Zelazny. Robert's funeral will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, May 9, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 2nd Avenue NW, New Brighton.
