Manfred, Robert (Bob) J. age 83 of Bloomington, peacefully passed away on April 25th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on December 23rd, 1940 to parents John S. F. and Florence Manfred. He was born and raised in Duluth, MN. Bob attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth playing college football and studying Early Childhood Education and Speech Therapy. His career brought him to Richfield, MN where he met his beautiful wife, Dee. They were married on July 25th, 1964 by Pastor Reuben Youngdahl at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church and resided in Bloomington, raising two children, Jodee and Jim. Bob went on to sell insurance. He was a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather, Bob could always be found with family and friends sharing his love for the outdoors while hunting/fishing and spending time at Cathedral of the Pines Church Camp. They spent time in Florida visiting friends and family throughout the years as well. Bob loved making new friends and sharing stories. His kind and humorous presence will be greatly missed. Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dee, children; Jodee, Jim (Amber), grandchildren; Jadie (David), Paige, Brooke, and Jake, great grandchildren; Holden, Briggs, and Carver. Siblings; Margaret, Jim, and Linda. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lucetta. Please join us in celebration of Bob's memorable life on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024. The service will be held at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, located at 5025 Knox Ave S, Minneapolis 55419. Visitation hour will be begin at 11am followed by the service at noon.
