Doris Jean Longerbone

Longerbone, Doris Jean age 95, of Minneapolis, Minnesota passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024. Doris was born in Highmore, SD in 1928. Eventually moving to Minneapolis where she met and married her husband, Floyd in 1948. They celebrated 62 years together. In addition Doris worked for JC Penney's for 25 years at the downtown Minneapolis location. Doris was an avid traveler and has been all over the United States and many locations in Europe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; parents, John and Pauline Pekarek; children Jay and Janice Wodtke; and grandson, Michael Branco. Doris is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Patrick) Branco; grandchildren, Joseph (Angie) Branco, Katie Wodtke, Alicia Wodtke; and great-grandchildren, Wesley, Benjamin, Ashley, Mitchell, Madelynn and Marshall; siblings, Kay Farris, Norma Smoler and Alan (Denise) Pekarek; son-in-law, Arnie Wodtke; grand-daughter-in-law, Michele Branco. Memorial Services 11 AM on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home, Minneapolis with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis.
