Brandes, Raymond J. of NE Mpls, age 93, died March 15, 2023. Preceded in death by parents Mary Lou & Lewis Brandes, wife Lucille, son Paul, brother and sister-in- law Jim & Evelyn Brandes, brother Rev. John Brandes, sisters and brothers-in- law Barb & Jim Olson and Kathleen & Larry Shearon. He is survived by children Mary (Joseph Zaloker), Jean (Larry Beckel), Steve (Sue), Margaret (Dave Tousley), 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister Mary (Griffith), nieces and nephews. With a twinkle in his eye, Ray could reel off a limerick or quick turn of phrase and make you laugh. Ray blessed all of us with his life. Visitation Wednesday, March 22, 4-7 pm, with a time of sharing from 6-7 pm, at the Washburn-McReavy Northeast Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, March 23, 11 am, in the Church of St. Boniface, 633 NE 2nd, St., Mpls, with visitation 1 hour prior to Mass.
