Levinger, Harold "Bud" January 13, 1928 to March 12, 2023 Harold "Bud" Levinger died peacefully on March 12, 2023 under hospice care in Edina MN. He was 95. Bud was born in 1928 in Yankton SD. As a boy, he was an avid horseman and especially loved his dalmatian Tally. He graduated from Yankton High School and then attended the University of Nebraska where he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean War and was awarded a Bronze Medal for Bravery. Following the war, Bud worked for Honeywell Corporation in Minneapolis where he met Saundra (Sandie) Lavin. Bud and Sandie married in 1954 and soon moved to Sioux City, Iowa. There Bud joined his father and brothers in running the chain of Fantle Stores located in Iowa, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Bud and Sandie were both deeply involved in the Jewish Community in Sioux City. Bud loved to work in the garden and play tennis. Bud and Sandie moved back to Minneapolis in 1984 where Bud joined his brother-in-law Jerry Lavin in business. Sandie passed away in 1987 and Bud retired soon thereafter. Bud and his second wife, Sheila Field, were married in 1990. He and Sheila enjoyed travel, the symphony, and the theater. And Bud continued playing tennis. Bud is survived by his wife Sheila Field; his children and step-children and their spouses: Michael Levinger and Nancy Schwartz, Janet Levinger and William Poole, Deborah Levinger and David Vaillancourt, David and Renee Segal, Caron Klein, Andrea and Brad Ferstan; and his grandchildren: Aaron Levinger, Rebecca Levinger, William Poole and Aabha Morey, Sarah Lynne Poole, Andrew Vaillancourt, Sophia Vaillancourt, Benjamin Segal and Angela Trinh, Leah Segal, Molly Klein, Max Ferstan, and Ivy Ferstan; and his great-grandson, Eli Segal.
