Brede, M. Jean (nee Krause) Age 91, died peacefully on January 17, 2023 at Eagle Crest Senior Living in Roseville, MN. Preceded in death by parents Anna and Herman Krause; husband Jerome H. Brede; and siblings Harold Krause, Myrtle Krause and Margaret Hoffman. Survived by daughters Jana Carr (Brad) and Julie Cox (Don); grandchildren Ashley Read (Andy), Bradley Carr (Markie), Hillary Carr, Justin Carr, Courtney Carr, Sydney Carr, and Patrick Cox; great-grandchildren Addison Read and Isabel Carr; sisters Beatrice James, Dorothy Gunderson, and David Krause; and many other relatives and friends. Jean was born in Buffalo, MN on February 8, 1931. She was a graduate of Buffalo High School and moved to Minneapolis to work in Accounting Services. Jean married Jerome Brede on October 1, 1955 and they lived for many years in St. Anthony Village. Jean and Jerome were long time members of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Jean loved spending time with her family, she enjoyed keeping her home "just so" as well as enjoyed her work on church committees & bible study groups, camping, reading, puzzles and playing scrabble. The family would like to thank EagleCrest staff and Allina Hospice for their wonderful and loving care.
