Bard, Shirley Mae (Williams) 96, passed away January 4, 2023 at her home surrounded by loving family. Born September 3, 1926 in Marshall, MN. Shirley graduated from Central High School in Minneapolis, MN. (Class of 1945) Upon graduating Shirley went onto join a dance troupe with high school friends that toured Minnesota and the USO. She met her husband in high school and they married June 11, 1949. They were happily married for 73 years. They had two children; Stephen and Susan, one grandson they dedicated their life to and cherished, Jesse. Shirley loved the outdoors, camping, canoeing, bowling, bridge, tennis and her absolute love was spending time at her cabin on Bay Lake in Deerwood, Minnesota. Shirley's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and her precious grandson, Jesse. Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, Marie; father, Merlin; sister, Jeanne Kostavich; brother Robert Williams; and loving husband, Chuck Bard. Survived by her children, Stephen (Chaweewan) and Susan; and grandson, Jesse. Funeral Service 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18th at Gill Brothers Funeral Home 9947 Lyndale Ave. So. Bloomington, MN.
