Studt, Lyle L. Age 90, of New Brighton, devoted husband and father, passed away peacefully November 27, 2022. Born to Evelyn and Otto Studt in Waterville, MN, October 13, 1932. Lyle graduated from Braham High School in 1950; drafted into Army December of 1952; sent to Korea 9th Corps Headquarters Company. Married the love of his life, Marion Luchsinger, May 9, 1953; they were married 67 years. Earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Minneapolis College of Art and Design; worked in Advertising as an Art Director/Art Buyer for 37 years. Lyle was an avid lifetime learner and reader; well known for his impromptu sense of humor. Enjoyed playing his harmonica. His passions were music, nature, conservation and equality. He was an iconoclast, skeptic, misanthrope, realist, philosophist, humanist, and non-conformist. A truly unique individual among the Human Race. He loved his only granddaughter, Heather Sager dearly and they shared a special connection. Survived by his two children, Diane Sager and John Studt; granddaughter, Heather Sager; sisters, Alice Studt and Susan Gleason; sisters-in-law, Gloria Kivel, Marion Luchsinger, and LaVonne Luchsinger; brother-in-law, Brian Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marion; his parents; sister, Avis; brothers, Richard and Donald. We would like to give a special thank you to the outstanding caregivers from Brighton Hospice, New Perspectives Assisted Living Community in Columbia Heights, and the Mpls. VA Medical Center for the exceptional care given to Lyle. Funeral service Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11AM at Washburn- McReavy Hillside Chapel with a visitation beginning at 10AM.
