Segal, Veta (Robbins) 86, of Minnetonka, MN died peacefully on Oct. 1, 2022 with her loving family at her side. Veta is survived by her four devoted children, Barry Segal, Annalee Segal, Yehoshua Randy Segal, and Devi Altman-Segal, son-in-law Bones (Bob), adoring grandchildren Aaron Stern, Yaakov, Hezzy, Simcha, and Tova Segal and her beloved sister Berylann Strada of Atlanta, GA, and loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, Jack and Freya Robbins of Fargo, ND and her longtime partner Dick Frost. Veta, a social worker and community advocate, spent her life fighting for social justice. She was instrumental in creating the Barbara Schneider Foundation and was passionate about its purpose to improve the response to those in mental health crisis, she worked endlessly on affordable housing and on many social action committees at her synagogue and in the community. Her true passion was her family and she loved nothing more than to make a holiday meal and have the entire family, plus friends and anyone in need, gathered around to enjoy her fabulous cooking. Veta had an amazing ability to focus only on the good in people and never spoke a mean word about others. She taught her children from an early age to listen to Thumper 's mother - "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
