Starr, Joseph H. Age 70, of Bloomington, passed away July 8th, 2022. Joe was born in Minneapolis to Lester H. and Marion "Bobby" (Warner) Starr. Preceded in death by wife Audrey (Quade), his parents, sister Lois Rank, niece Angela, many friends and loved ones in addition to his and mom's beloved dogs, Buster & Bruiser. Joe Co-Owned The Schooner Tavern in S. Mpls. since 2001 and still co-owned The Schooner until his passing. A lifelong resident of S. Mpls. until 2017, Joe was raised in the Brackett Park neighborhood where he attended St. Albert the Great School, Sanford Jr. High, Roosevelt H.S. (for a hot minute) but graduated from old South High School with many close and lifelong friends who were like family including Tommy Murphy (deceased), David Santos, Jim Adams, Lynn Wagner and Dick Heider (the lone Teddie of the crew!). Extremely generous to all who knew him, Joe was a tried & true S. Mpls kid, an extremely hard worker, a supportive husband, proud father and a VERY proud grandfather of four granddaughters who will sorely miss Grandpa "Papi" Joe. Survived by sons Jim (Noelle), Ron (Veronica), granddaughters Maya, Remi, Kayla and Kylie, sister Loretta, nephews Joseph "Joey" (Lori) and Robert "Bobby" Starr, and many Starr and Quade Family members. Visitation Sunday, July 24th, 1-3PM with short funeral service at 3pm all at Washburn McReavy - Edina Chapel (Highway 100 & 50th Street, Edina). A celebration of Joe's life will be held at McCoy's Public House (3801 Grand Way, St. Louis Park) immediately following the 3PM service.
