Thalhuber, Daniel Cletus age 69, died peacefully on May 6, 2022. Dan grew up in the New Market area and was a 38 year resident of Delphi in Shakopee. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, William and Hildegard Thalhuber of New Market, and brother, William M. Thalhuber and his wife, Liz, of Burnsville. He is survived by his brothers, Charles (Leslie) and David (Jeri), both of Elko-New Market, and Alan (Roberta) of St Paul; by his sister, Carole Hansen, of Farmington, by many nieces and nephews, and by dozens of his cousins of the Busch family of St. Benedict. Dan worked faithfully for ProAct in Shakopee for over 35 years. He was a great lover of Elvis, Delphi's trip to Graceland being a highlight of his life. Coloring books were Dan's passion, his work in them always meticulous. He was also a neat and snazzy dresser and ordered in everything he did.. Above all, Dan was a good spirit. Staff at Delphi described him as "loving", "positive and upbeat", "fun", "artistic", "mischievious". And yes, "stubborn"! No doubt, Dan was the best of us all. Special appreciation for sister, Carole, who lovingly oversaw Dan's care and welfare for decades after the death of our father. She was dogged in her determination that Dan have the best life possible. A huge thanks, moreover, to the personnel of Delphi who were his family during the last half of his life and who took such good care of him. Their love and compassion were incredible. The Allina Hospice team also deserves thanks for Dan's care in the last days. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 12:00 PM, followed by a luncheon. Visitation begins one hour prior to the service. White Family Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Ave, Burnsville. Memorials preferred to The Special Olympics or a charity of your choice.
