McKay, Phyllis M. age 98, of Minneapolis, MN, died peacefully at home on May 3, 2022. Preceded in death by her father, Robert J. and mother, Libby, and sister, Lois Simonson. Phyllis is survived by nephew, Robert (Anita) Simonson, and many cousins. Phyllis Maxine McKay was born in Henry, South Dakota, and graduated from Henry High School. She moved to Minneapolis, lived with her Aunt Margret, and worked at Honeywell, retiring after 44 years from Honeywell with a perfect attendance. At Honeywell, she was an active member of the travel club and the photography club. Phyllis was small in stature, but she leaves a huge hole in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a large presence in her neighborhood, keeping an eye on things, often outside making things look good, and handing out treats to friendly, visiting dogs. She loved animals and tended several of her friends' dogs when the owners were away. She always had treats on hand - often homemade! Private interment at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
