Nick, (nee Weibel) June Marie age 91 of Winsted passed away at her home on Sunday, February 13, 2022. She was born on June 12, 1930 in Winsted the daughter of Paul. J. and Ellen M. (Carlson) Weibel. She graduated from Howard Lake High School on May 31, 1951.On September 5, 1954, June M. Weibel and George H. Nick were joined in holy marriage at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winsted. One of June's fondest career memories was singing in the Honeywell choir while she was employed there. She retired from Northwest Airlines as an award winning employee in 1995, celebrating 25 years of service. She was an avid player of the accordion and organ. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, gardening and flowers. June absolutely loved butterflies. She was a faithful member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winsted. Survived by her loving husband of sixty-seven years: George H. Nick; a daughter: Laureljean Ellen Nick; a grandson: Wesley (Lori Benoy) Baker; great granddaughter: Lilith June Baker; Jeannette's children: Dwight (Mavis) Reinke, Cheryl (Kevin) Schiller, Tim (Cindy) Reinke, Cindy Pappas and Gail Miller-Schmeeckle; brothers: Martin "Les" (Marilyn) Weibel, Glen Weibel, Bob (Mary Ann) Weibel and Curtis (Kathy) Weibel; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Paul & Ellen Weibel, a grandson Rodger Baker, Jeannette's son Steven (Pam) Reinke, two sisters Ruth and Jeanette and six brothers George, Floyd, Claude, Earl, Harold and Stanley Weibel.Funeral services for June M. Nick will be held on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winsted. Pastor Dave Hormann will officiate. Bruce Gatz will be the vocalist. Inurnment to be determined at a later date at Winsted Public Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 25th from 4-7 P.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. Further visitation will be held at the church on Saturday morning, February 26th one hour prior to services.
