Inz, Carol Sonja Marie Nelson 84, died unexpectedly January 11, 2022 from natural causes. She is survived by her daughters, Julia (Tom) Arneson and Jennifer Inz (Steven Brown); son, Nelson Inz; six grandchildren and her sister, Margaret Mattson, as well as many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Minneapolis until age 16, her family then moved to Duluth where she graduated high school from Stanbrook Hall in 1955. She received her Nursing Degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in 1958, and later completed a Bachelor of Science from St. Francis College in 1977. She worked as an RN for her entire professional life, first in hospital operating rooms, then in other hospital settings and later in the public schools. It was in NY City that she met her husband of 50 years David Inz (deceased 2015). They moved to Kings Park, NY to raise their family. Also a pianist and piano teacher, Carol was passionate about the arts, travel, nature, beaches, social causes, and public health. She had many different friends from many walks of life. She moved back to Minneapolis in her retirement to be near to her children, grandchildren, and to the family cabin on Long Lake, in Birchwood, WI. where she loved to swim, take boat rides, and enjoy an evening on the front porch. Fiercely independent, she was never afraid to speak her mind, and fought the restrictions that came with aging every step of the way. Thank you to the many caregivers and medical providers who enhanced her life.

A Celebration of Life service followed by a light luncheon will be held Saturday, August 6, 11AM at Saint Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, 519 Oak Grove St., Mpls, MN 55403. Memorials may be made to Planned Parenthood of the North Central States or Huntington's Disease Society of America, MN Chapter.
