Distel, Mark David 45, of Blaine passed away unexpectedly at home on January 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, David. Survived by his wife, Heidi; daughter, Destiny; mother, Barb; and sister, Tracy. He leaves behind many relatives and lifetime friends who were blessed with knowing him. Mark graduated from Robbinsdale Armstrong High School and Mankato State University. He was a St. Paul Police Officer for nearly 22 years. He was well known for his quick wit and quirky sense of humor. He always had a funny story to tell and was more than willing to share. Mark loved his friends and entertaining them with his antics. He had a special way of changing the energy of any room he was in. He enjoyed spending time at the family lake home, especially with his daughter, Destiny. He loved his off-duty at Xcel, especially working backstage for the WWE. We are left with a deep void in our life but know he will be making all the angels in heaven laugh, giggle and roll their eyes. We miss and love you Mark. Visitation Saturday 2-6 at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church, 3900 Winnetka Ave. N., New Hope, MN. Memorials preferred to the St. Paul Police Foundation. GILLBROTHERS.com NEW HOPE, MN 763.531.1777
