Lewandowski, John Michael of Mounds View, MN passed away peacefully at home November 9, 2021 at age 75. John grew up in North East Minneapolis, before entering the Navy. He served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1969. You would rarely catch John these days without his Vietnam Veteran hat on and was proud of the time he spent in service to his country. He spent most of his career working at Barry and Sewall, retiring in 2007. He kept everyone laughing on a regular basis with his wit and sense of humor and was always quick with a pun. He enjoyed golfing with friends both in MN and AZ, really anywhere he went, and if you were ever looking for a golf club, you knew where to get one from. John is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Katherine Rall Lewandowski, brother Joseph, sisters Gert Freeberg and Joan Albrecht. He was loved and will be deeply missed by his wife, Kathleen "Katie" (Carlson) of 52 years, daughters Jill Lewandowski Eldring (Scott Goeb), Natalie Lewandowski Laski (Thomas) and his grandchildren whom he cherished, Jack, Grant and Grace. He is also survived by siblings Jerry Lee, Tom (Laurie) Lewandowski, Char (Bud) Freeberg, Kathy (Rodger) Carey and many cherished nieces and nephews, many friends, neighbors and extended family. Memorial service at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH BLAINE CHAPEL (107th Ave NE & Hwy. 65) Monday, November 15th at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior.
