Anderson, Darlene J. age 89 of Mankato, MN passed away October 15, 2021. Preceded in death by parents and one sister. Darlene was a teacher in the Mankato School District for 33 years, retiring in 1997. Active in her church and a longtime member and volunteer in many civic and social organizations, Darlene lived a life of selfless service to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, family, friends and community. Survived by daughters; Julie (Mike) Braun, Jayne (David) Long, Jill (Marv) Augustin and seven grandchildren, one niece and nephew, their families and many friends. Celebration of Life Saturday November 6 at 10:30 AM at St Philip The Deacon Lutheran Church 17205 County Rd 6, Plymouth, MN Visitation one hour prior to service, at the church. Inurnment Crystal Lake Cemetery. Memorial preferred to the Alzheimer's Association, Gladys's Place in Plymouth, MN and Brighton Hospice in St Louis Park, MN or to the donor's choice.
