Klimstra, Roger Dean Passed away peacefully on September 25, 2021 at the age of 85. He spent his entire working career at NSP/Xcel Energy. He was a proud Marine who served in Okinawa. Graduated from Litchfield High School. Roger was a dedicated husband, father and grandpa. He enjoyed helping his children and their friends which transferred to his grandchildren in his later years. He never missed his grandchildren's games, even if it meant he had to drive all over the area to make multiple games. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Selma Klimstra and his brother, William Klimstra Jr.. Roger is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara, children, Mark Klimstra (Nicole), Vickie Hoppe (Gordy) and Cindy Peterson (Keith); his 6 grandchildren Travis & Michelle Klimstra, Danielle and Morgan Hoppe and Kayla & Kelly Peterson; sister Rose Bye, brother Larry (Dee) Klimstra and many other family members and friends. Funeral Service 11am on Thursday October 28th, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1601 4th Ave, Anoka with visitation starting at 10am. 11am Service with gathering to follow at Greenhaven Country Club.
