Richard LeRoy Benham

Benham, Richard LeRoy The family of Richard (Dick) LeRoy Benham Sr. of Garrison, MN, is saddened to announce his passing on September 19, 2021 at the age of 80 years. Dick was born on January 9, 1941, in Seattle, WA, to Dallas and Edna (Robenhagen) Benham. He owned maintenance businesses in the Twin Cities area. On September 13, 1957, he married Barbara Jean Bentley and together they raised four children. Dick had a creative spirit and was passionate about art. His paintings are admired by many. Dick was humorous, kind, and had a deep love of life and family. Dick was preceded in death by his father, Dallas and mother Edna; his dear wife, Barbara; his siblings, Dallas Benham III, Margaret Ekstrum, Barbara Knauff, Steven Benham, and his daughter-in-law, Laurel Benham. Dick is survived by his children, Jody (Tom) Johnson, Richard Benham Jr., Wendy (Bill) McGie, Jennifer (Phil) Doughty, and his siblings, Don (Carole) Benham, Fred (Hannah) Benham, Jeff (Lynette) Benham, and Jane (Brian) Mix. Dick was the proud Grandfather of 15 and the great grandfather of 23. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
