Blader, Robert Milton Robert Milton Blader, who was known to most as "Bubbly Bob," lived 90 vibrant years. He was born in Minneapolis to Milton and Nellie on March 22, 1931. Bob attended Central High School. Being the people-person, Bob was, he stayed in touch with his classmates, planning reunions his entire life. He attended the University of Minnesota, boxed in The Golden Gloves of America with his 2 brothers, and one of the greatest honors of his life was to serve in the Army for our country. He met the love of his life, Bernie, on a blind date. The blind date led to 64 years of marriage, 5 children and their spouses, 12 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandkids - all of them were his pride and joy! He told everyone how much he loved his wife and family. Bob had a long, successful career for 52 years in the car business, and that is where he got the name "Bubbly Bob." The fun and comradery of the car business is unique and they would say of him, "Bob could sell ice cubes to Eskimos." For 41 years, he loved to sing "Happy Birthday" to the customers at Bernie's restaurant, Antiquity Rose. He loved life and a song was always on his lips. Everyone who knew Bob will be "counting their blessings" and "naming them one by one." We are confident he was singing on his entire journey to Heaven. Bob loved Jesus and loved people. He leaves a legacy of everyone smiling when they think of his gusto for life. He was a treasure! Bob and Bernie have 5 children and 12 grandchildren: Randy and (Karen) Blader, Brett, Rachel (Adam Mitchell), Justin; Teri and (Steve) Bennett, Charlie, Jack; Shelly and (Dan) Kruse, Kally(Andrew Carter), Jake; Barb and (Paul) Bowman, Abbie, Bella; Bonnie and (Rob) Huskey, Paige, Joe, Ross; 3 great-grandkids: Beau Bennett, Charlotte Carter, Jagger Mitchell; a sister-in-law: Audrey Weldon Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
