Stephen L. 'Steve' Young

Young, Stephen L. "Steve" 1948-2021 Formerly of Minneapolis, passed away June 4, 2021 following a brief illness. After serving in the U.S. Navy Steve earned a B.F.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder. While in Boulder, Steve met and married his wife Pam. They moved to Minneapolis where Steve completed a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Minnesota. He opened his own firm, Young and Wilz Architects, in 1985, specializing in health facilities design. Forty years after arriving, Steve and Pam left Minnesota for New Mexico where Steve enjoyed almost year-round golf, painting and travel. Steve is survived by his wife Pam Young, brother Jay Jones (Dee), niece Sarah Anderson (David), many friends and relatives. Memorials preferred to Minneapolis Institute of Art or Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
