Saunders, David Harold 65 of Eden Prairie passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends 11/20/2020 from complications of ALS. Preceding in death parents Howard and Ruth Saunders, grandparents Harold and Violet Gilbert of La Marque, TX. Survived by wife Nancy (Flom), children Michael and Elizabeth, brothers-in-law Steven (Jessica) and Mike (Joy) Flom, nieces Maria, Daria & Brianna; cousins Michael (Linda) and Robert (Terri) Proch of Texas, many friends and colleagues from all over the world. David earned a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of North Texas, in conducting, but translated it to working with people using technology. He founded the North Texas Youth Orchestra in the early 1980s. In NY, he was instrumental in working with the City of New York after 9/11 helping them to bring the City back online after the bombing of the World Trade Center. He was a mentor to others throughout his life. He concluded his service to others with studies on several books with St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie, MN, sponsoring a grant for Nakabango Lutheran Church in Uganda and delivering for Meals on Wheels locally when he was still able to drive. Private viewing at Washburn McReavy Chapel in Eden Prairie on Saturday, November 28 at 11 am; Livestreaming memorial service at St. Andrew Lutheran Church standrewlu.org/worship/online-worship/ Monday, November 30 at 10am.
