John K. Kiser

Kiser, John K. Age 80 of Herriman, Utah passed away on July 2, 2020 Born in Eau Claire WI. Graduated from Hopkins High School in Minnesota. Served in the US Navy from 1958-1978. Retired as Master Chief and served the position of Command Master Chief aboard the USS Blue Ridge. Awarded 2 Joint Service Commendation Medals and 2 Navy Meritorious Service Medals. He was Newport Naval Sailor of the Year in 1969. Attended San Diego City College and earned a degree in Landscape construction/Maintenance. After graduation he had his own landscaping business for 18 years. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen (Paselk) Kiser; daughter, Marie Pagano (Jim); son, John W. (Christian); sister, Jo Jones (Bob); brother, Mike Kiser (Barb), and 5 grandchildren. There will be a military service at a later date at Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park Bluffdale, Utah.
