Murray, Dorothy Jane age 98 of Edina passed away peacefully on May 13, 2020. She was born on February 5, 1922 in Stephen, Minnesota to Magnus and Jennie Olson. She married Robert Murray on April 24, 1943 and they had 3 children. They were long-time residents of Golden Valley and Edina and also spent their winters in Sarasota, Florida. Dorothy was a member of Normandale Lutheran Church. She loved needle pointing and sharing her needle work with others. She was an avid gardener and maintained beautiful landscapes at her homes. She enjoyed golf, entertaining and playing cards. Donating to causes, especially to support children, was near and dear to her heart. Dorothy could always be found surrounded by her friends and family, especially her children and granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Arleen (Mattson), husband and son Richard. She is survived by her daughters Robin (Bruce) Stafford and Roxann Murray; her granddaughters Jennifer, Rebecca, Kerri, Thalia, Alissa, Ashley; and 12 great grandchildren. Dorothy's family would like to thank the caregivers at York Gardens in Edina where she resided for the last eight years as well as the caregivers at Fairview Hospice for their compassion and dedication.
