Martin, Marilynn L. (Ring) (93) passed away peacefully on March 4, 2020, with family by her side, at the Northfield Retirement Community in Northfield, MN. Marilynn was born on April 26, 1926 in Cokato, MN and left Cokato to attend the University of MN after graduating from high school. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree and began to work as a medical technologist at Fairview Hospital, where she set the hospital's record working for over fifty years. In 1953 she married Lester L. Martin and they had three daughters. Marilynn was a faithful servant of God over her entire life. She is remembered as being a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, as well as a thoughtful and caring friend. Even in her last days, Marilynn was still able to smile and delight the staff at the care center. She will be deeply missed. Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents, Hilma Christine (Erickson) and Carl August Ring; her brothers, Courtney and Grant; her sister, Elaine; her daughter, Ann (Robert) Schultz; and her late-in-life special friend, Norris Halver. She is survived by her daughters Elaine (Scott) Nesbit of Northfield, MN and Carolyn Bizien of Rochester, MN; grandchildren Mark Hibbard, Laura Thomas, Kate (Eric Emmons) Nesbit, Stina Nesbit, Simon (April) Bizien, Celia Bizien, and Mallory Bizien; and great-grandchildren, Zahra and Lila Thomas, Violet Hibbard, and Violeta Bizien. Funeral Service will be at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, March 13 at 11am, Visitation at 10am.
