Ray, Robert S. "Bob" Age 83 of Anoka / Bigfork, MN. Bob was born in Phelps, WI and grew up in the U. P. of Michigan where he graduated from Bergland High School in 1955. He married Patricia McMaster on June 6, 1959 and they lived in Houghton, Michigan while he attended Michigan Tech and graduated in 1962 with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. In 1964 he was hired by Federal Cartridge and his career spanned 35 years as an engineer for them. He was active within St. Stephen's Church as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Anoka Council #2018. Bob spent 20+ years refereeing hockey and scheduling referees for MAHA District 10. Preceded in death by parents Stanley and Louise; brother Louis Paulman; and sister Louise Lincoln. Survived by wife of 60 years, Patricia "Pat"; sons Jeff (Lisa) and Scott; daughters Rebecca "Becky" (Deane) Smith, Kathy (Trent) Enebak, Julie (Jake) Jacobson and Laurie (Greg) Zahalka; grandchildren Alexandra (Jordan), Brooke (Sam), Samuel, Emily (Andy), Robert (Kristi), Lucas, Madilyn, Jordan, Margaret (Tyler), Zachary and Taylor; one great grandchild due next month; sister Betty Kalember; nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St., Anoka. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Rockland, MI. Visitation Monday, 5:00-8:00 PM at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave., Anoka and also one hour prior to Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
