Erickson, Ina Rae July 7, 1937 January 18, 2020 Ina, 82, of Richfield, MN, died Sat., Jan. 18. A memorial service will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran at 2 PM, February 10, at 4100 Lyndale Ave. S, Minneapolis. Ina Rae Titus was born on a farm near Alexandria, MN. She graduated from Alexandria H. S. in 1955 and then from Fairview Hospital School of Nursing in Mpls. in 1958. On May 23, 1959, Ina entered a 60 year partnership marrying Alvin Erickson, Jr., in Carlos, MN. In Sept. of 1961 they went to Papua New Guinea as Lutheran missionaries with two infant children. This began 6 years of Ina's work delivering health care under very challenging and primitive conditions. The family then moved to a seminary community in Finschhafen, PNG. In 1973 they returned living in North Dakota, California. In 1982 they moved to inner city Mpls., later to Richfield. Ina worked at Hennepin County Hospital and then at HCMC's Family Medicine Clinic for 17 years. Ina is survived by her husband, Alvin, and her children Paula (Brian) Bergs of Mpls.; Tom (Val) of Austin, TX; Kristin (Robert) Burich of Roseville, MN; Debra of Mpls.; John (Leslie) of Mpls.; and Dondrea of St. Cloud; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grand-chil-dren; sister Beryl (Bruce) Westphal of Fridley and brother-in-law Martin Tonn of Glenwood.
