Sylvan Rue

Rue, Sylvan Age 79, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with COPD on January 5, 2020. He was a brilliant mathematician, and proud Norwegian, whose interests included riding motorcycle, golfing, fishing and skiing. He always enjoyed a good beer and cigar and was known for his fedora collection. He is preceded in death by parents Orlean and Charlotte; stepson Wade Whipps, and is survived by wife Cathy Rue, siblings Loren (Jean) Rue, Loyal (Marilyn) Rue, Cleone (Dale) Rue-Woods, daughters Denise (Don) Rue Pastin, Sherry Rue, step-sons Doug and Darren Whipps as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family is planning a private service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Sylvan's memory to the Audubon Society, or a charity of your choice.
