Esterline, Mrs. Maureen 78, McLeansville, NC, died Nov. 21 after a short illness. She was born Kyongcha Paik in 1941 in what is now North Korea and earned a BA from Seoul National University. She came to the US in the early 1970s for her piano career but earned a BS in computer science from the University of Minnesota and worked as a programmer in the Minneapolis area. She with husband Albert and son James were members of Prospect Park United Methodist Church, Minneapolis. In 1993, the family moved to the Greensboro, NC, area, where they still live. Maureen was preceded in death by mother Kwang Suk Paik (née Choi) and father Tae Hean Paik. She is survived by husband Albert and son James and, in California, by brothers Unpo and Steve and sisters Susan Arno and Stella. The memorial service is at Centenary United Methodist Church, 2300 W. Friendly Ave., Greensboro, NC at 11:00 AM, Saturday, Dec. 7. Memorials may be made to the church in honor of the Centenary Community Concerts series.
