Christianson, Carlyle John age 94, of Bloomington passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 13, 2019. Known as "Chris, Chick, Carlyle, Dad and Grandpa" to his family and friends. He was born in Webster, Wisconsin to August and Daisy Christianson. Preceded in death by parents; brother Romaine; sisters, Irene and Wenona; and special friend Betz Hansen. Survived by Alice and their children, John (Darla), Mary, Carol (Steve), Bob, Tom, Jim, Ann, Amy, Patricia, Carrie (Mike), Donald and Roger and Betty Olson; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives. He served aboard the USS Kittson during WWII. Retired from Western Union after 38 years and was a Lifetime member of the VFW 5555 where he served as a Chaplain and Honor Guard for many years. A sweet, honest, kind man that lived independently his whole life. "Drive safe whatever you do." A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 12 o'clock with visitation at 11 AM and reception to follow at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue S, Edina, MN 55435. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
