Meldahl, Ann (Craddock) age 94 passed away peacefully on October 29, 2019. Born in St. Louis, MO on August 9, 1925, Ann moved to her adopted home of Minnesota at age 17 to attend St. Olaf College. A lover of music, Ann was proud to be a member of the St. Olaf Choir. While at St. Olaf, Ann met and married the love of her life, John Meldahl. Eventually they settled in Excelsior where they raised their family. From an early age, Ann loved the arts. Throughout her life she found ways to stay involved in the arts community, from her years of involvement at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts to singing in the Mount Calvary Choir to hanging the art shows for the Sister Kenny Institute. The collaboration with Sister Kenny came from Ann's longtime volunteer work at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. A lifelong learner, Ann was a voracious reader always striving to understand more about other cultures, countries, and politics. Preceded in death by her husband John, Ann is survived by her children: John Meldahl (Debby), Catherine Turner (Joe), Steve Meldahl (Claudia), Jim Meldahl (Kathleen), Caroline Anderson (Gary), Mark Meldahl (Lou), Mary Bodvarsson (Örn); 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 23rd, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior, with visitation starting at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the St. Olaf Choir or the Animal Rescue League.
