Dr. Richard A. Sand

Sand, Dr. Richard A. Age 70, passed away at home on November 1, 2019 after a short illness. Richard was a gentle soul and very passionate about helping others. This passion blossomed into a doctorate degree in chiropractic medicine which he used to help numerous patients for many years. Throughout his life, Richard focused on others. People were drawn to him because of his compassion and acceptance. His willingness to go the extra mile made all the difference in the world to many people. His passion included those in the animal kingdom and benefitted many that found a loving home with him. Survived by his wife Theresa Johnson-Sand, daughter Jessie Sand, son Elijah Sand, sister Nancy Sand (Larry Pokorny), and nieces Sara Pokorny (Joe Aliotto), and Robyn Pokorny (Sam Bartz). Preceded in death by his parents, Florentine and Margaret (Vierling) Sand, and brothers John Sand and Jim Sand. A private service for immediate family will be held at a later date. One of Richard's last wishes was for family and friends to make the world a better, healthier and kinder place. Memorials preferred to donor's favorite charity.
