Cornelius (Corky), age 74, of Amery, Wisconsin, passed away at his home on July 21, 2019, from congestive heart failure. Corky was born in Benton County, Minnesota, on September 15, 1944, and was the son of the late Lawrence P. Roehl, and Clara J. (Niedzielski) Roehl. He was a 1962 graduate of Brooklyn Center High School, and later obtained a BA degree from St Cloud State College. Corky started a very successful printing business, Skyway Printing, in downtown Minneapolis. After 25 years, he retired from the printing industry and enjoyed time living on Lake Minnetonka, and later lived on Lake Wapogasset in Amery, WI, where he enjoyed fishing and boating. Corky will be remembered for his great love of family and friends, his continually positive outlook, his zest for life, his encouragement of others, his sense of humor, his courage in the face of adversity, and of course, for the stories that he told! Corky is survived by his wife of 53 years, Laura; his brother, Darrell (Carla) of Gainesville, GA; his sisters-in-law, Mary Roehl and Adele Roehl; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and an endless list of friends. He was preceded in death by brothers, Louie, Lenny, Alex, and Larry; and sisters, Lucy Vink, and Henrietta Dougherty.
