Englin, Mae Evelyn (Stenlund) Age 99 of Lino Lakes, MN, went to glory on May 10, 2019. Mae was preceded in death by her three siblings, Arvid, Mildred, and Frances and husband, Carl. Survived by son Don (Barb) Englin and daughter Chris (Jim) Zicopula, grandchildren David (Sara) Zicopula, Zac Zicopula, Jessica (Todd) Durand, Phil (Amy) Englin, Nathan (Elizabeth) Englin, and Becky (John) Hokanson and 12 great-grandchildren. Mae was born on May 27, 1919 in Dayton, IA, daughter of Frank and Hedvig Stenlund. In 1931 the family moved to a farm near Darfur, MN. She graduated from Comfrey HS in 1937. She attended Northwestern Bible College for a couple years and helped in a Jewish family's home in Chicago. She married Carl Englin on June 22, 1941 and moved into a home in Darfur. Carl was drafted into the army shortly after and their son, Don, was born in February of 1945 while Carl was in New Guinea. Mae was secretary for Carl's insurance business and worked in the bank. She also worked part-time at the post office next door. Their daughter, Chris, was born in 1951. Carl retired in 1982 and they moved to Mpls, MN. In 1988, they bought a cabin near Hayward, WI, where they spent their summers. Mae's last 6 plus years were spent with memory-loss at the Pres. Home in Arden Hills, MN where she was loved by all who knew her. A celebration of life service will be held on June 22, 2019 at 4 pm at River of Life Church, 4294 Hodgson Rd, Shoreview, MN 55126.
