Hornig, William Edward Bom in Mpls to Edward J. and Marion Hornig and passed away March 12, 2019 at the age of 79. He proudly served two years in the Navy on the USS Valley Forge prior to meeting the love of his life, Mary Ann Baatz. He became a loving and devoted father of four beautiful children and 5 grandchildren whom he cherished, Bill was known for his wit, smile, his welcoming, warm and happy disposition but also for his deep devotion to his family and his faith. Bill spent the last years of his life with dignity and comfort at the "Garden House" in Winsted to whom his family wishes to thank and express enormous gratitude to the staff but most importantly to his granddaughter Amanda Nessett who went over and beyond any expectations to make sure Bill lived life with dignity and joy. The family cannot express enough words to say how much we appreciated what she did for Bill. We are forever grateful. Bill spent his entire career working for Hennepin County Court System and was an active member of the Lion's Club and JC's. Bill was preceded by his wife, Mary Ann Hornig and sister, Marilyn Berg. He is survived by his children; Thomas (Roueida), Deborah Nessett, Sharon (Ronald) Skoby, Edward (Paula) and "Benji". His sisters Pat (Tom) Ehlen, Maggie (Warren) Veazie, Jeanne Brower, Fran (Dave) Schultz and brother Bob Hornig. Mass of Christian Burial Wed.
