Jan Lee Hanson

Hanson, Jan Lee Age 74, long time resident of Golden Valley, recently of Rice Care in Willmar, passed away on February 3, 2019 from complications of PSP disease. Jan was the oldest child of Ernest and Leona Hanson and grew up on a farm near Belgrade. Jan graduated from Belgrade H.S. and Nettleton Business College in Sioux Fall, SD. Following college Jan relocated to the San Francisco area where she was employed by the Kaiser Engineering Corporation and later the IDS Center in Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, David, and grandparents. Jan is survived by her brother, John (Mary Kay) Hanson of Eden Valley, sister, Deb (Bruce) Klaassen of Willmar, nephew, Josh Klaassen, nieces, Sarah (Matt) Nelson, Emily (Matt) Lawin, and Erin Klaassen (Jeff Wollsschlager). She also had several grand nephews and grand nieces. Jan has unselfishly donated her body to the Anatomy Bequest Program of the University of Minnesota. At Jan's request, no funeral service will be scheduled. She will be honored with a private family memorial at a later day.
