Backus, Lisa J. (Botz) Age 57 of Bloomington passed away Sunday Feb. 10th, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Mpls to Gerald & Priscilla Botz. Preceded in death by her father, Gerald; and sister, Mary Kay Botz. Survived by husband, Mike; children, Katie and Matt; mother, Priscilla, sisters, Julie Mae Miller and Karen Botz; nephew, Dan Bombeck; & niece, Carolyn Larson; in-laws, Bruce & Liz Backus, Holly Eicher, Roy and Roberta Backus, Scott and Mary Sue Backus, Jill Weissner; nieces, nephews, and loving extended family. Lisa last worked as a Cook Manager for Poplar Bridge Elementary School in Bloomington. She most enjoyed her time with friends and family. Special thanks to the staff at Fairview Hospice for the care provided and to family and special friends who went out of their way to support and comfort Lisa. Memorials preferred to donors choice. Mass of Christian Burial, Wed. Feb. 20th, 11am at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 9401 Nesbit Ave. S., Bloomington.
