Newell Jr., Howard G. 73, of Edina, MN passed away on January 3, 2019. Howard is preceded in death by his Father, Mother, brother and sister and survived by his brother, Robert of Brainerd, MN; son, Jason (Beth, Tyler, 15 and Brody 11) of Boise, ID. Howard lived a varied and adventurous life. He grew up in Edina, MN, lived many years in Little Falls, MN, sold real estate in southern Florida and returned to Edina where he drove school bus. Howard retired from the bus company in 2017. Howard found his true home during his years with the bus company. He took great pride and pleasure in positively impacting students. He left this life knowing he had cultivated true and enduring friendships with his fellow bus drivers, staff, and students. Howard's cremated remains will be interred at Fort Snelling with full military honors on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 9:45am. legacy.com
