Larson, Arthur William, "Bill" age 85 of Fridley, passed away 09/19/2018. 1951 graduate of Edison High School. After working at International Milling, he entered the U.S. Army training dogs in Fort Carson, CO. Following the service, he attended the Minneapolis School of Business. Upon graduation he went to work for Williams Steel & Hardware and remained there until his retirement. His first love was family activities, especially hunting and fishing trips with family and friends. Over the years, he was active in his children's activities including hockey and figure skating. In later years, he enjoyed his grandchildren's activities. He was active at American Legion Post 303, serving as Commander for two years. Preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Greeta. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Kay; children, Todd (Deb), Troy (Towana) and Tammy Smasal; grandchildren, Savannah, Brady, Joshua, Jacob, Alec and Emma; brother, Robert (Diane); other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11:00 AM, Wed., 9/26, with visitation one hour prior at Fridley United Methodist Church, 680 Mississippi St NE. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
