Ferdelman, Michael Joseph Age 62, passed away very peacefully on Monday, September 17, 2018. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and attended St. Anthony Village Schools. He is preceded in death by his mother Lois; father Frances; and brother Ron. He is survived by his wife, Toni of 28 years; his children Jamie (Kathy Ekwall) Bistram; Jason Wolfe, Jeremy (Sherry) Ferdelman, Dennis Wolfe, Anna Green, Jason (Dica) Ferdelman, Joe Ferdelman, and Casey (Patrick) Murphy; his 10 grandchildren Samantha Ferdel-man, Erik Wolfe, Kayla Ferdelman, Logan Johnson, Jacob Wolfe, Michael Ferdelman, Emma Wolfe, Evan Murphy, Lillian Murphy, and Tiffany Ferdelman; sisters Karen Deegan, Sandee (Dan) Skaro and Marilyn (Craig) Varno; sister and brother in laws, Gerrie Ferdelman, Adrienne Prokopis, Judy Mason, Andy (Diane) Prokopis, and Sofia (Larry) Rudesill; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mickey was the epitome of a gentle giant. He loved his family with vigor and celebration. His passion for the outdoors, camping, sitting by the lake and taking long drives was surpassed only by his love of sitting by an open fire. His sense of humor was always present even in the most serious of moments. Mic always made you laugh and could bring you back to that place of humor and love in seconds. His mantra in life was "change the thought." He was a master at autobody restoration and repair. He could place flairs on a fender where there were none with such precision that even the best could not tell they had been crafted by hand. When he wrapped his arms around you for a hug you felt safe and secure, knowing you would not fall or falter because he had you. In true "Mickey Style" a Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Noon at Malmo Bay Resort on Lake Mille Lacs, 22783 327th Place, Aitkin, Minnesota 56431. No tucked in shirts, no ties - just come as you are. He will be missed beyond measure.
