Conklin, Joan Lawrence Age 67, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 18, 2018, following an eight-year battle with the autoimmune disease scleroderma. Joan was a devoted wife, mother, and friend who always had the best interests of others in mind. Joan grew up in Long Island City, Queens. Although she lived in Minnesota for twenty-two years, she remained a true New Yorker. Her hobbies included horseback riding, scuba diving, tennis, golf, bowling and reading. Preceded in death by parents John and Mary Lawrence. Survived by husband, Deane; son, Patrick John; sister, Diane (Lawrence) Hughes; brother Richard Lawrence and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00AM Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie. Visitation one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Pax Christi Catholic Community.
