Knutson, Rev. Paul Henry age 80, of Edina, MN, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 16, 2018. Preceded in death by parents Arthur and Ella Knutson of Glencoe, MN, brother, Howard Knutson, brothers in law Wallace Moilien and Warren Rutherford. Survived by wife, Tekla, daughters, Linda Knutson, Stillwater, Brenda (Tom) Dolan, Eden Prairie, and grandchildren, Matthew, Molly and Peter Dolan. Also survived by brother Roald (Carole) Knutson, sisters in law Barbara Gruendemann Rutherford, Jerry Knutson and Marilyn (Bill) Engel and many very special nieces and nephews. Paul was a graduate of Luther College, Decorah, Iowa and Luther Seminary in Saint Paul, MN. He earned an MA from St. John's University, Collegeville, Minnesota, in 1983. Heserved as a Parish Pastor, Chaplain at Mercy Hospital, Coon Rapids, MN, Campus Pastor at Luther Seminary, Saint Paul, MN and Visitation Pastor at Mount OlivetLutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN. He also served as Interim Pastor at numerous churches in Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mount OlivetLutheran Church, Cathedral of the Pines Camp, Luther Seminary or a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Avenue South, Minneapolis, on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
