Nordquist, Dean William Age 74, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully at home on June 29th, surrounded by friends and family. Survived by his son, Jeff (Katie); brother, Ron Nordquist (Nancy); nieces, Jaimee Cornwell and Alice Nordquist (Nathan Daniels); and grandchildren, Miles and Ella Nordquist. Preceded in death by parents, William and Dorothy Nordquist, and wife, Sharon Nordquist (Donegan). Dean was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He helped others in any way that he could, including donating money to charitable organizations and people in need, and caring for his wife lovingly and unfailingly throughout her strug-gles at the end of her life. He was an avid car fan and could often be found in the garage polishing the engines and tinkering. He loved road trips and boat cruises on the Mississippi. He had a fascinating career as an engineer that included helping to design the original Boeing 747 and designing chemical extraction facilities around the world. Dean was a brilliant, gen-erous, loving man and he will be dearly missed. A celebration of his life will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers, memorials or don-ations to cancer research would be preferred.
