Connelly, John J. Born August 11, 1926; passed on June 11, 2018. Born to the late Thomas J. Connelly and Kathleen Connelly (nee Guilfoyle), third of four children, Thomas Connelly, Mary Kunz, and Anthony Connelly, all now deceased. Survived by beloved spouse of almost 64 years, Mary Louise Connelly (nee Bigelow, and known to grandchildren as Grandma Cookie) and seven children: Thomas (Shauna), Kathleen (Carolyn Sampson), John, Timothy (Leslie), Michael (Norma Villa), Brian (Susan), Maureen Kirk (James), and grandchildren Caitlin, Patrick, Megan, Sean, Stephanie, John, Julia, Daniel, Anthony, and Elizabeth. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, former United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Minnesota (Chief Judge) and Southern District of New York, partner at Lindquist & Vennum. Visitation 4 to 8 PM Thursday, June 14 at O'Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home (575 S. Snelling Ave, St. Paul 651/698-0796). Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Friday, June 15 at Assumption Catholic Church (51 West 7th St., St Paul, MN). Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice.
